Further information | WithYou Fife is part of our frontline response to reducing the harms associated with active drug use, particularly injecting drug use, including: Access to a full range of single use safer injecting equipment Reducing spread of Blood borne viruses such as HIV and Hepatitis, Reducing overdose and drug related deaths through provision of safer use advise, awareness of risks and distribution of Naloxone in the community Reducing the number of bacterial infections associated with injecting drug use We also play a key part in referring people to appropriate drug treatment programs and linking people with other health and social services. The service is not just for people who inject Heroin or Cocaine. The service is also for those who use or are about to start using; Steroids or other performance or image enhancing drugs (PIEDs) and any other psychoactive drugs, chemicals, plants or medicines WithYou Fife Specialist Harm Reduction Service offers a wide range equipment than pharmacy based exchanges and also offers a range of other services to help reduce drug related harm including: 1:1 assessment, referral and support into treatment (only if requested) Overdose prevention work including access to The Take Home Naloxone programme (THN). Blood borne virus testing for HIV and Hepatitis Specialist advice & information on issues related to substance use. injecting practice and any concerns or questions in relation to it. We operate from a number of venues in Fife and also operates a Mobile Outreach unit |
